Its features are limited to exactly what you see, and your options for design changes are very limited (and usually not free) as well. Plugins are not an option with WordPress.com, and you do not have your own domain name. Access to source code is minimal. Affiliate marketing is also not permitted on WordPress.com.

You can, but when you registered the domain initially predicates when you can successfully start a transfer. Most registrars institute a 60 to 90 day waiting period that bars any domain transfer within that timeframe. If you literally just registered the domain elsewhere, we can still get your web site up and rolling for you, and just transfer the domain management later on if you desire.
